Why can’t I perform tasks in Among Us?

Even though I'm a crewmate, I can't seem to perform tasks. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

There might be several reasons why you're unable to perform tasks in Among Us. Let's go through the common ones: 1. **Misunderstanding the Task System:** When you're assigned tasks as a crewmate, you'll see a list of them on the upper left corner of your screen. You have to go to the exact location where the task is to be performed. Each task has a mini-game related to it. This might be flipping switches, swiping your card, etc. The task bar at the top left of the screen will fill progressively as you and your fellow crewmates complete tasks. 2. **Server Issues:** Occasionally, server issues may cause tasks to not update or function properly. In these cases, the problem usually resolves itself with time or after restarting the game. 3. **Bugs:** Among Us is still being developed and bugs are certainly possible that might prevent you from performing your tasks. If you suspect a bug, it's worth researching to see if other players are experiencing the same issue. If so, the developers at Innersloth should be aware of it, and an update will likely come to fix it soon. 4. **Using Impostor Role Mod:** In Among Us, there's a weird bug where you spawn as the impostor even though you're a crewmate when using the Impostor Role Mod. If you experience this bug, you won't be able to complete tasks, but you'll have the ability to vent like an Impostor. Turning off the mod should solve this issue. If none of the above helps, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. The game files might have corrupted and a fresh install could fix the issue. Remember, the objective of the game is to complete all tasks quickly or find the impostor before they kill all the crewmates. So understanding exactly how your tasks work and troubleshooting any problems you face can both help keep you alive and win the game!
