Adding More Sims to Your House in The Sims (2000)
I want to add more sims to my house in The Sims (2000). How do I do that and what is the maximum number of sims I can add to my house?
To add more Sims to your house in The Sims (2000), there are two main methods:
1. **Creating a new Sim**: On the neighbourhood screen, select your house and click on the 'Create a New Family' icon on the bottom of the screen. Here, you can add a new Sim to any households you have created. Adjust their looks, personality traits, and name. Once done, save your Sim and they will be added into your household.
2. **Adoption**: If your Sim has a phone, they can use it to call the adoption service. After a day, a social worker will drop off the child at your house adding to your household.
As for the maximum number of sims you can add to your house, in the original The Sims(2000), the maximum number of occupants (including pets) in a household is 8.
Please note that managing a larger household can get complex given the individual needs of each Sim, so careful planning and resource allocation can make the process easier.
For future readers:
* Understand that the family limit can change depending on the version or any expansion packs you might have added.
* Some unofficial mods can allow more than 8 Sims in a household but make sure to use them cautiously as exceptions may occur causing potential game instability. Always back up your save files before using any mods.
* Keep in mind that managing more Sims means more responsibilities, from fulfilling Needs to managing relationships. It may be challenging but also adds to the fun!
