Actually, this is quite an interesting fact. Gordon Freeman, the protagonist in Half-Life 2, is intentionally silent throughout the game. Valve Corporation, the developer of Half-Life series, made this choice strategically. By making Gordon Freeman a silent character, the developers wanted to enhance player immersion. The thinking is that if Gordon doesn't speak, players can more accurately project themselves onto the character. As you play, you become Gordon Freeman — every reaction is your own, rather than being supplied by the game's narrative. In essence, there is no voice actor for Gordon Freeman since the character does not utter any dialogue in Half-Life 2 or in any of the other games in the series.
